The Ekstraklasa, Polish soccer's highest division, brings together the country's most competitive clubs. Founded in 1927, this historic league features iconic teams such as Legia Warsaw and Lech Poznań. The Ekstraklasa format comprises 18 teams who meet in two-legged matches, totalling 34 league days. At the end of the season, the top team is crowned champion, while the bottom 3 teams are relegated to the lower division. The top team also qualifies for the UEFA Champions League qualification phase (see our selection of Champions League predictions), while other places in European competitions are also at stake.
