Super Lig ranking history
The Super Lig is the name given to the Turkish soccer league, which was officially created in 1959. The Super Lig is made up of 20 teams fighting for the title (for the big teams) and for survival (for the smaller ones). The top 2 finishers qualify for the Champions League (see our selection of Champions League predictions). The 3rd and 4th place finishers qualify for the Europa League and the Conference League (see our Europa League Conference predictions). Finally, the last 4 are relegated to the second division.

Three clubs monopolize the Turkish league table. Galatasaray (23 titles), Fenerbahçe (19) and Besiktas (16) share the title almost every year. Last season, it was Galatasaray who emerged victorious, taking the trophy for the 23rd time in its history. Apart from these Istanbul giants, only 2 clubs have managed to snatch the title: Bursaspor in 2009/2010 and Basaksehir in 2019/2020.
